Swedish startups Vantel and Vetnio accepted into Y Combinator's latest batch
Two Swedish startups have made it into the Winter 2025 (W25) batch of renowned San Francisco-based startup accelerator Y Combinator (YC).
Vantel, which just emerged from stealth mode, is building AI for commercial insurance brokers, and promises them to be able to "compare policies in seconds, not hours". The company was founded in 2024 by Love Redin and Ulme Wennberg. More on Vantel and the founders on Y Combinator's company profile page.
The second startup from Sweden which was accepted is Vetnio, which offers a solution for generating automatic medical notes for veterinary professionals. Here's the YC company profile page.
Vetnio, founded by Arman Karégar and Max Henry Xie, emerged from stealth mode in December 2024 (company first covered in Swedish Tech News PRO on November 11), and already announced a €1M pre-seed funding round led by Peak and YZR Capital.
With the acceptance into Y Combinator, Vantel and Vetnio each secure $500K in funding.
