Deligate, an Örebro-based provider of a hardware and software solution to reduce food waste at grocery stores and other retailers, has signed Carrefour as customer in Belgium. The multinational grocery chain giant will use Deligate's software tool for getting full control over best-before dates, at up to almost 800 stores.

This could triple revenue, co-founder and CEO Adam Vikström tells Di Digital (paywall). In 2023, Deligate generated revenue of close to SEK 6.9 million, and a small loss. In 2024, the startup has turned profitable.

Deligate was founded in 2016 by Vikström, Mattias Chahin, and Lukas Wallströmer, and has raised SEK 12 million in total funding from Swedia Capital and the private investor Håkan Svanberg.
