  • AlixLabs (Lund, method for manufacturing nanostructures which enables the semiconductor industry to scale down in a cost effective manner, founded 2019): around SEK110M (€9.7M, $10.6M) from yet-to-be-announced investors in an ongoing round with a goal of SEK165M, which is expected to close during H1 2025. The funds will be used to build a pilot facility for the company's technology, to conduct beta tests with major semiconductor manufacturers (Swedish / Rapidus paywall). The company raised its previous equity funding round of SEK40M in fall 2023 from Industrifonden, FORWARD.one, and Navigare Ventures.
  • Nextgen Classroom (Växjö, AI-powered education platform for schools and teachers, founded 2023): SEK1M (€87K, $95K) from Kick Capital and Almi Invest (Almi invested SEK500K through a convertible note) (Swedish / Smålandsposten paywall). This follows an unannounced SEK260K in first funding which I covered in September. For now, I treat this as a separate event. ℹ️ Company details added on April 11 to the early-stage startup tracker page, and to the "new startups" Google Sheet.
