- Atomize (Gothenburg, real-time price automation for hotels, founded 2016) is being acquired by Netherlands-based hospitality management cloud platform Mews. The transaction is paid in a mix of cash and equity. The price was not disclosed, but Breakit speculates that it could reach SEK500M (€43M, $45M), and cites sources who describe it as a "good deal" for the shareholders. The company's most recent registered valuation was around SEK180M. Atomize was founded by Leif Jägerbrand, and has raised around SEK85M in equity funding from angel investors and family offices, according to data registered with Bolagsverket. In August, I covered Atomize's 2023 numbers, which showed net revenue growing by 83% to SEK17.9M, and loss decreasing to -SEK15.7M. The company states that it recently reached break-even, and now considers itself profitable (English, Swedish / Breakit paywall). Mews has raised $335M in total funding from Kinnevik and various others.
