Mergers & acquisitions

  • hitta.se (Stockholm, search engine for people and company information, founded 2004) is being acquired by Finland-based private equity investor Sponsor Capital, through its Finland-based portfolio company and hitta.se peer Fonecta, for reportedly around SEK400M (€35M, $36M) paid in cash (English, Swedish / Breakit paywall). hitta.se has been majority-owned by Sprints Capital since 2017. 📊 For 2023, hitta.se reported net revenue of SEK237M, and a pre-tax profit of SEK3.4M.
  • Acamp (Stockholm, campsite marketplace, founded 2020) was acquired by Norway-based industry peer Campio for an undisclosed amount, in an all cash transaction (Swedish, machine translation). Acamp writes on its website that all hosts and users will be moved to Campio's platform. Acamp was founded by Öjje Holt and Paul Berggren, and raised around SEK45M in total funding from Centripetal Capital, Spintop Ventures, and LRF Ventures, among others. In June, I covered an unannounced funding round of SEK4.4M raised at a pre-money valuation of only SEK3.6M. 📊 For 2023, Acamp reported net revenue of SEK0.5M, and a loss of -SEK13.2M.
  • Finture (Stockholm, investment platform for the energy sector, founded 2022) was acquired by GreenMerc, publicly traded Stockholm-based developer of fintech solutions and operator of the crypto exchange Trijo, for SEK1.35M in a mix of cash and newly issued shares (Swedish, machine translation). Finture was founded by Joakim Urheim and Srdan Pavlovic, and had registered SEK2.5M in total equity funding with Bolagsverket. ℹ️ Finture's company details added on May 15, 2023 to the new startups list.
  • Swedish conglomerate Assa Abloy acquires Finland-based startup 9Solutions, which was founded in 2009 and provides indoor location-based safety, communications and smart care solutions. The deal value was not disclosed (English).
